Consumer Communications
For the past 5 years, I have been working on designing Microsoft Teams Free which is the free offering of Microsoft Teams that is geared towards a prosumer audience. The challenge was identifying and addressing the gaps in workflow of our users and shipping useful solutions at high consumer quality. The "dream goal" was to build experiences that were lightweight, polished and delightful that could cross impact Teams Enterprise for an all up improved Teams experience.
I collaborated closely cross discipline in the delivery of the Communities V1 experience which is unique to Teams Free. Communities focused on building for early adopters and through them expanding the reach of Teams. Since the release of Communities, the teams has made steady updates and continued the growth of MAU in this space.
I led design for the Events experience which led to my work in the Meeting & Calling space. The events work focused on streamlining meeting scheduling, prioritizing external share and simplifying the existing calendaring experience to optimize for sparse calendars.
I led design for reflow in the meeting, events and calling space. Through having weekly syncs with ENG, we were the first team to achieve ship quality in our reflow experience across the entire product.

Shipping a Prosumer Focused Feature
Communities V1 was built rapidly in an all hands on deck style. I was in charge of Community Creation and Safety. Working within the bounds of the Teams experience all up, I was able to design and launch the community creation flow, report a concern and community events.

Reflow
Making Teams accessible across screen sizes
I led the reflow effort in the meeting and calling space by providing detailed specs that passed accessibility tests and collaborating closely with engineers to make sure that we were pixel perfect. The close collaboration across discipline allowed us to the first area to hit ship quality in the entire product team.
